Blue Diamond Recreation has compiled a brief directory of resources for veterans and their families. We have listed just a few below from each of our major categories. We maintain ongoing relationships and do our best to stay up to date on all of these groups.

Emergency Assistance

Assists families of wounded service members with rent/mortgage payments, utilities, vehicle payments and repairs, food, travel and transportation.
Operation Homefront | operationhomefront.org
Offers emergency financial, legal and other assistance to families of service members and wounded warriors.
Provides financial assistance and other support services for service members and their families during periods of hospitalization and recovery following injury or illness.
Legal Assistance
Develops and promotes public policy on veteran-related issues such as VA funding, homelessness, retirement pay and disability compensation, employment and training.
National Veterans Legal Services Program | nvlsp.org
NVLSP recruits, trains, and assists volunteer lawyers and advocates in support of efforts by veterans to obtain benefits they have earned through military service.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs suicide prevention hotline with 24/7 access to trained professionals prepared to help any veteran in crisis.
